School Budget Information and Absentee Ballots
As you know, the school budget referendum vote is right around the corner. Please review the following information regarding the 2008-2009 Board of Education adopted budget and instructions on how to apply for an absentee ballot.
Remember to vote on May 7, 2008. Please obtain an absentee ballot if needed - every vote counts!
Dad's and Donuts
On Wednesday May 7, 2008 (any time between 7:00 and 8:30 a.m.) come to the Gainfield School Cafeteria with your dad, grandpa, uncle, or any favorite adult for Doughnuts, Bagels, Muffins, Fruit, Coffee, Tea, Juice, Milk.
$2 donation per person . *Bring your loaded camera and we will take your picture. If you forget your camera, we can take a Polaroid for $1.00.
Mother's Day Plant Sale
On Friday, May 9th, the children will enjoy a Mother’s Day Plant Sale throughout the day. Shopping for their mothers is one of the children’s most exciting events!
We are happy to announce that we are guaranteed to get more hanging baskets this year. We would really appreciate it if parents would send in sturdy bags (like a canvas shopping bag) with child's name for safe transport.
If you want to purchase more plants, please visit the music room at the end of the school day. Volunteers are always needed. To help the children, please contact Crystal McTaggart or at 264-1153.
PTO Meeting
The next PTO Meeting is on Tuesday, May 6 at 9:30 a.m. in the media center. Mr. Salutari, Principal of RMS will be in attendance.
PTO Job Fair
Please join us for a PTO Open House to familiarize yourself with the different committees and opportunities within our PTO. The fair will be held on Thursday, June 5 from 9-11 a.m. and 6-8 p.m. Please contact Joni Ganci with any questions. We hope you see you there!
Fifth Grade Yearbook
Fifth Grade Parents, please continue to gather kindergarten and group pictures for the yearbook throughout the year. Send in to the classroom or email to gainfieldyearbook@gmail.com.
Gainfield PTO Treasurer Position is Open!
The Treasurer’s position is open for the 2008/2009 academic year. If you enjoy working with numbers, are detail oriented and are looking for a way to become involved in the PTO and school, this is your opportunity! Here’s a chance to be a central figure in Gainfield’s PTO activities. The Treasurer works closely with the PTO Executive board and committee coordinators, a great group of volunteers who all have the same vision of helping our children by helping our schools.
